A marketing opportunity for wineries and vineyards, this twitter event has over 50 wine and food bloggers and writers are registered to participate.
Wine producers featured in the multimedia documentary VINTAGE 2014: the stories behind the vines will gather on Twitter for the online premiere of three short films that follow their vineyards through the 2014 vintage.
The focus of the conversation will be a retrospective of the 2014 wine grape growing season.
“My aim is to demystify the perceived pretentiousness of wine by bringing to light the agricultural aspects of winemaking,” said Wil Fernandez, Producer and Director of VINTAGE 2014.
Last month, Fernandez took the films on the road, hosting intimate screening and wine tasting events in New York, San Francisco and Phoenix. The live events continue into 2015, with similar experiences in Los Angeles and Southern Florida.
Wine enthusiasts can join in on December 10th at 5:30 PM PT/7:30 CT/8:30 ET to ask questions about the vintage, wines and the project. By using the hashtag #vintage2014 on Twitter, any messages will automatically become part of the discussion.
Wine bloggers, food writers and wine industry professionals from around the country will be selected to receive a bottle of wine produced from vineyards featured in the films. The bottles will be opened simultaneously at the beginning of the one-hour event.
“I’ve been watching the project evolve since we backed it on Kickstarter. It’s the next best thing to being out in the vineyards!” said food and wine blogger Amy Corron Power of AnotherWineBlog.com, who will be participating in the Twitter event as @WineWonkette.

ABOUT VINTAGE 2014
VINTAGE 2014 is a multimedia documentary set in Santa Barbara County, California, during the 2014 wine grape growing season, marked by historic drought and treacherous heat spikes.
The crowd-funded project brings together cinematographers, visual artists, musicians and writers using modern technology to give voice to wine growers through a unique sensory experience.
VINTAGE 2014 uses widely adopted cross-platform technologies to tell eye-opening stories through short films, podcasts and photo essays. Time lapse video, macro photography and grape vine leaf pressings create an appreciation for the plant that is often forgotten once wine is in the glass.
Live events across the country offer a full sensory experience, combining a series of three short films that span the vintage with wine tasting intermissions.
