The Virginia Vineyards Association and Virginia Cooperative Extension are pleased to present the 2015 Summer Technical meeting: “Vineyard Renovation and Semi-automated Tools for the Small Grower”. The single-day program is graciously being hosted at Ingleside Vineyards in Oak Grove, Virginia.  The event will feature a continuation of the vineyard renovation topic from our Winter Technical Meeting presented by Ingleside’s own Doug Flemmer. Woodstock-based Muse's Bordeaux-styled Red Blend Scores Best Amongst Almost 400 Entries from 94 Wineries~ RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe tonight awarded the Virginia Wineries Association's (VWA) 2015 Governor's Cup to Muse Vineyards for their 2009 Clio, a Bordeaux-style blended red wine. The Governor's Cup was awarded at the VWA's Governor's Cup Gala held at the John Marshall Hotel. This is the first Governor's Cup for Muse Vineyard, based in the Town of Woodstock in Shenandoah County. The results of member balloting for the Virginia Vineyards Association's board of directors were announced at the association's Winter Technical Meeting on Saturday, February 7. Newly-elected VVA president Tom Kelly with Grower of the Year Fernando Franco. Tom Kelly, of Kelly Vineyard Services, was reelected president of the Association, which means that Bill Tonkins of Aftonshire will serve another term on the board in his capacity as past president.  Likewise, Jim Benefiel, general manager of Benevino Vineyards, will continue as vice president of the association, and Kay Thompson of Amherst Vineyards will serve a new term as Treasurer.
