The VVA would like to thank Katie Frazer on behalf of the entire membership for all of her hard work with the Virginia Wine Council and wish her the best of luck in her new role! Here is the announcement from the VWC:

Message from Philip Carter Strother, Chairman, VWC

Late last week, I was notified by Rob Jones that Katie will be leaving The Alliance Group/Virginia Wine Council effective May 4th. She does this to assume the position of President at the Virginia Agribusiness Council. This is a great opportunity for Katie and for our industry. Never before have we been positioned better with one past director, Matt Conrad, serving as the Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, and now Katie heading up one of the industry’s key partner organizations. They both have intimate knowledge of our issues and can appreciate the hurdles we face as we continue to take Virginia Wines to the next level.

I spoke with Rob Jones at length and he assured me that they would come through with a suitable Executive Director very soon. Katie has also assured me that she will do all that she can to make this transition as easy as possible with her successor.

Ben Rowe will continue to serve us and also help bring the new person up to speed on our efforts as well.

We will keep you informed as new developments arise. Any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call me or Rob Jones (804-307-3754, rob@alliancegroupltd.com).

Sincerely yours,

Philip Carter Strother
