Integrated Pest Management (IPM) pre-season workshops

What: Virginia Tech extension specialists will be conducting three separate workshops around the state to help prepare grape growers for pest related issues in the coming growing season. The content of the meetings is essentially identical, so choose one that meets your schedule.

When: All workshops will take place from 9 am to 4 pm

5 March 2012, Linden Vineyards, Linden, Virginia

6 March 2012, King Family Vineyards, Crozet, Virginia

19 March 2012, Loudoun County Fairgrounds, Leesburg, Virginia

Program: These workshops will review pertinent information about disease biology and disease control strategies with a focus on Integrated Pest Management.  We will review a mock spray schedule to help growers plan for the upcoming growing season. We will also reserve time to review the Sustainable Viticulture Practices Workbook.

The workshops will begin promptly at 9:00 am and finish around 4:00 pm.  Please bring a bag lunch, writing material and good questions.
